Hey Step, great idea but I'll go you one better.....
I made a sled to ride in the miter slot of my table saw. Very much like a cutoff sled.
The "cutting edge" has a metal bar with washers to provide the gap for the paper and is aligned with my saw blade. NO, the blade is fully retracted.
I simply set my fence to the size I want and go to town. With the sled made out of 3/4" plywood, the razor blade never contacts my table saw and I even set the blade to different depths to get multiple "fresh" cutting edges out of each blade. ----- Thanks,
