Hello Warren,
glad to hear your Sonoran is doing well and ready to lay eggs. I usually don't have any condensation on the tank sides because of the egg laying box being mostly enclosed. I would try to keep the moisture down inside the tank and maybe use a tighter fitting tupperware tub or something like that. As far as the temps go, i think 83 will be okay, i am incubating both my corn and gopher eggs at 81.5-82.5 (depending on where they are in the incubator.) Last year i had a clutch laid on 6/30/02 and they hatched on 8/27/02 at 84 degrees. And the article Terry mentioned is a great help, i highly recommend it also. Hope all goes well, keep us updated.
