Although, I'm also sure that since they share the same habitat across so much of their range that natural intergrades must occur on a fairly regular basis. Anyway, your comment about the adult bairdi/corn crosses being very variable struck home as all my little crosses have different looks from head patterns, to belly patterns to ground and saddle colors. Some are more guttata looking while others lean a bit more towards obsoleta. Gonna be fun to watch these guys develop. | ||
