Posted by: adamig at Mon Nov 2 08:22:08 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by adamig ] leucistic and hypos are pretty much the same thing. theyre clear nailed animals with lack of dark pigment. theses animals are good to cross with colored animals because it will wash out the dark pigment of the offspring (brighter reds, yellows, oranges etc.) also if you cross them with another hypo youll get 100% hypo babies. snows have black nails and theyre pretty much white normals not albino. there have not been true albinos discovered yet. if you surf the web you can find snows and hypos at any reputable breeder. be careful with hypos because some are sold with black nails and only have the visual traits of hypos. true hypo/leucistics should have clear nails along with pastel coloring.
