When this girl hatched out 3 years ago I thought she looked super washed out. She showed no promise of color and I didn't sell her, having no confidence she would have any decent color as she aged. Well as it turned out she helped to show me a couple of the things to look for in jani as babies. By the time she was 6 months old her blotches started coloring up and her head was turning orange while her background color stayed that super light color which made for great contrast. Also, her blotches in her upper body had dark outlines around them as a hatchling which tends to be a sign they will turn almost black as they age. Between 2 and 3 years of age the orange started creeping down her neck and the background color, between the blotches on her tail has slowly started turning pink. It's hard to see in the picture but it is actually pink.
She has a very different look for a jani and has definatly become one of my favorites.
