Sorry, I'm not a fan of buying/building more than one cage per Herp, unless it is a needed thing "I should have typed that". I like to buy/build them as big as the Herp will need. Putting a nice hide box in the cage to make sure they feel secure, in case the cage is to big. I do enjoy building them for any of my Burms, but prefer to buy them for my hots. Just a personal preference I guess. Also, if my Burms escape in my house the fear of them getting me is much lower vs a hot if you know what I mean. There's just something about keeping my hots in a professionally built cage instead of one that I've built that makes me feel better/secure that they won't escape.

P.S. I believe in the case of most pythons that if people where forced to buy/build a cage big enough to handle the max size of the snake they are buying. Then there would be less of them let go into the wild etc......It would make them see what they face ahead of time.
