Congratulations on producing eggs, a credit to your good husbandry. I do not work with leopards, and hopefully someone who does will advise you. Diapause, a phenomenon where the eggs are layed in a state of suspended animation may be a factor, and they need to be cooled and reheated to stimulate development. No doubt an adaptation to changing seasons and timing hatching so there is seasonal grass/rain etc. in Africa. Check out R and J Fife's book on Leopard tortoises, ISBN 0-9638130-6-4, 2006. Leopard eggs are famous for long incubation periods, and highly variable, so you will have a real test of patience. Depending on what "race" of leopards you have, it may also vary. Good luck and let us know when the big events happen. Vic H.
