Several recent posts have had pics of animals with high-white patterns. It seems to me that when captive breeding first started to be common 20 years ago RED was the color that was accentuated. About 10 years ago genetics dealt mostly with the BLACK, absence(albinism) or alteration(hypo). The WHITE/YELLOW coloration of milks has been fairly consistent. Can anyone think of any alteration or line bred accentuation of the "3rd" color? And I'm not talking about a pattern morph such as striping. The HYPO red line does have what I would call a "double wide" trend to it. Alot of the western milks trend toward that, but I wonder if most breeders dont "value" RED over these WHITES. My favorite milks have always been the ones with the clean WHITE/CREAM/YELLOW that remain until adulthood. I dont know if anyone has breeding pars of such adults and what their breeding trials have proved.
