A few pics from the swamp

These are from spring of '08. saw about 50 cottonmouths, about half of what we normally see. may have been due to the flood conditions or we just got there a couple days before the mass migration from the den.

This guy was probably a second yearling. he was sunning in a hole in a fallen tree about 6' off the ground.

Almost set my backpack down on this yearling. Excellent example of how well their camouflage works
