This is in southern MO. Definitely a fun day; we try to go every year. The cottonmouths all come out of the den on almost the exact same date each year. Even on a sub-par year like this one was there is always tons to see. Lots of non venomous water snakes turtles, shore birds, etc.



If I would have had the camera this year (still kicking myself) I'd have pics of them piled up 6 on log and tons of little ones hanging 15' above the water from vines on the cypress trees.
