If you got a mate that was genetically identical to the one you have, you would get a "theoretical" outcome of........
50% hypos/het amel
25% hybino
25% hypo
note: the actual odds can vary greatly hear, just like you would NOT get 50% heads and 50% tails from tossing a coin every time.
Also the problem with this is, you will STILL not be able to tell which are which, since the hypo is masked by the amel gene.
If you got a "proven" hybino to mate it with, you would get a theoretical outcome of........
50% hybino
50%hypo/het amel
But to prove them actual hybino's, you need to do "test-breedings" with a known hybino to a normal hypo,..then if you produce any hypo's, you KNOW it is a hybino.
Yes, time consuming, but that's the deal..LOL!
