John,
He is an exceptional MSP. But I have a question. In your post on the main forum about Annie, you said you were going to holdback some of the hatchlings from that pairing and try and prove out the reduced red. If that is your goal, why are you pairing her with Symon? Being that MSP is usually a dominant pattern, wouldnt that tend to cover up what you are trying to accomplish in the offspring? Wouldnt you be better served pairing her with a lighter leonis male? That way, the hatchlings may exhibit some indicators as to whether or not they are het for the gene you are trying to prove out and you could then choose those particular hatchlings to holdback. Not criticizing at all, simply thinking genetics and pondering out loud.
