Posted by: Pardalis at Wed Nov 4 22:07:06 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Pardalis ] I agree, with USARK we have a voice, or a seat at the table and that's why I joined and donated to the cause. I wrote letters and made calls like everybody else did to protect our interest but it is becoming clear to most that tricking us by phrasing things as they did leads to distrust. Do you think that if they were upfront that most people here would have helped their fellow herpers that had species on the chopping block? Probably not as many that did thinking that ball pythons were threatened. An organization that lacks integrity with it's supporters will not be able to protect our interests long term. What kind of support will they get next time when it really counts, knowing they cry wolf and you have to read between the lines before helping. I'm sure they got what they needed in the way of support with the call in this week but it does not sit well with me. I do hope we are successful in the days ahead with the issues that affect us all. | ||
