Help for a newbie to Venomous

I have always wanted an albino diamond back and got offered a young male for free a few weeks ago. I did a lot of thinking and finally decided to commit to owning a venomous reptile and all the challenges and hazards that go with it. I have done a lot of research about owning, caring and handling a Venomous snake (I Will NOT HANDLE this animal unless it needs medical attention or looks ill and at that point I have some one to help me). So any great advice for a rookie? I plan on setting him up in a 20 Gallon long with peg board under the locking screen top just in case, I am looking for a locking hide so I can minimalize the risks. So If you can look back to that first "HOT" that you kept what would you have done different or what advice, web sites or books do you have to help me with my first hot herp....
