how long to signs of Gravid

After ovulation how long till you see the female swelling from being gravid? Has anyone noticed females shedding before birthing and if so how long after do they give birth. I have a female that I think is gravid but not sure I did not see her ovulate. I have another that I did see ovulate but no sure yet. Thanks for any answers. Mike
