Posted by: dragonvet2 at Mon Nov 23 23:12:28 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by dragonvet2 ] i house 3 juvi boas all under 4 feet in rubbermaid type enclosures. i will be purchasing some nice boa enclosures around the 1st of the year.my problem is the humidity in the enclosures. i put in a tub of water for them to bath in/drink. once a week. the tubs i keep them in gets totaly saturated with water. the humidty stays around 60-70% when i put the tubs in. i usually leave the tubs in till they go to the bathroom,or finish shedding. how do u keep a lg water source in these rubbermaids? with out drenching it? i use newspaper for substrate. and their are 3 drilled holes on one side,about dime sized.i use heat rope. teps are 80 on coolside and 90-95 deg hot side.is their a such thing as too much humidity? i never allow the saturation in the enclosures to continue more than 3 days. ill let the enclosure dry out,and humidity drops to about 45%.ill spry oneside and humidity gets back up to 55-60%,but not for more than a few hours. its just really dry here in texas.and it is only getting worse in the winter.what do i do,to provide them with optimal humidity? | ||
