Actually 60% humidity is optimal . But when I achieve that percentage , my tubs aren't drenched as you described, but rather mildly foggy instead . A couple things you can do is --



> Make sure the water isn't on the hotter side of the tub . I put mine right in the center of the tubs and cages .

> Smaller water dishes will help . Unlike you, I do not like my Boas to soak in the water that they're going to drink from. Nor do I like them to have the opportunity to defecate in their water dish . It really bothers me when they do that. Boas do not need to soak -- just an occasionl spray down works fine.

> Maybe some more holes in the tub as well . Not dime size as you already have. I would be concerned that they may push their nostils onto that size of holes and cause nose rubs . Using a heated soldering iron creates smaller holes with a melted rim that is smooth to the touch.
