Anywhere between 1-5 months is fine for brumation. Many variables affect the length of time your dragon brumates, from temperature changes, light cues and the dragon itself. As long as your dragon is healthy, not loosing weight while brumating (some weight is lost, but it should be small...less than 15% of the pre-brumation weight.)
