Posted by: bob at Sat Nov 28 14:37:12 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by bob ] We have a 12 Ridgid [9 yrs] table saw [belt driven] that is on a stand for our larger projects, it survived working in the desert at 125F temps and still runs great. We also have a portable [disposable 2nd one in 3 years] ryobi from the home depot. Only thing to watch for is ryobi and other portables are direct drive electric motor to the saw blade and if you bind the saw they kick like a mule, the larger belt driven ones will just allow the belt to slip instead of force feeding you a piece of lumber. Both work. | ||
