Hmmmm, never saw red ones before. Unless maybe just fed? Snake mite tha have not fed yet are pretty much transparent and very small making tem darn near impossible to see. Once they have fed their bellies are dark from the blood.
Here's what they look like.....

I would treat right away, the longer you wait, the more they have a chance to reproduce and spread.
