Posted by: rhino5 at Thu Dec 24 04:36:38 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by rhino5 ] Aside from snared carpet fibers cutting off circulation and rips that occur when jumping from top of a screen when a claw gets hooked, Some missing claws are out there for the following reasons: One owner was cruely cutting them off so his cyclura clan could not climb...these lizards are hardy and live a long time, so they are probably still living somewhere. Juvenile Nubila hybrids sometimes nip each other's toes off if they are left unmonitored in a large clutch. Also occurs when a smaller female cyclura is left unmonitored with larger agressive male. The nails can grow back. It looks to me like a no regrow from the foto you posted...but who cares. It is an estetic issue, and your lizard will be fine without it. | ||
