A quick introduction. I'm not much of a snake person. I primarily keep turtles. However, I do have 5 snakes, one of which is an 11 foot male Burmese python. He is used for bonafide educational purposes primarily for grade school aged children. I keep several adult volunteers on hand while using this animal. I am enclosing a link to a story that I found while sending emails to Senate and House members in regards to HR2811 and S373.
I am not sure if you will be able to view it from this link as it is from Comcast. I'm sure it is on other new's sites as well.

I would like to state a few things. This news report has been sensationalized by sheer ignorance and bending the facts. Also, if the Wildlife Officer really did say what he is reported to have said, he should be fired.
The news reporter states that the woman was trapped inside her car.
How? Did the snake lock the doors from using their laser eyes that HSUS has claimed them to have?
First it was said to have been outside the car, then, the reporter states that it was inside the car. Did it go through the air ducts like they have been reported to go through sewers?
So which was it?
It was stated to have been 11 foot long. It did look a little emaciated. However it was reported that the Wildlife officer said the "victim" (Maybe a relative of the committee member in the House of Reps that said she would support a ban on sharks), is lucky she wasn't eaten.
We all know this is a prime example of media sensationalized, fictitious, garbage.
What I want:
The name of the reporter The name of the Wildlife officer who reportedly stated this. And a valid reason that that snake was abused when tossed into the garbage can.
If someone can obtain this video or lend any information in regards to these requests, please advise.
In my opinion, this is a form of domestic terrorism intended to instill fear. Nothing else. More than likely released by an HSUS member or PETA member as a way to induce further media based damage. And no, I do not feel bad for making this last statement.
Mr. Wyatt, any suggestions?
