I'm hoping that Senator Inhofe is going to use this skin thing as a ruse to knock down the whole effect of the bill. For instance, he could insist on a clause that would allow people to keep their pets and move their pets when they cross state lines. The supposed purpose of this allowance would be for them to grow the snakes in order to have a bigger skin to harvest someday. No one would actually have to harvest the skin, but the ruse might allow us to keep our pets.
We can talk about people not being educated enough to vote, but how many of our own herpers voted for the Democrats who are pushing this bill. We lost this issue on election day 2008 when the Democrats swept both houses of Congress and the White House.
