Bad Shed

We have a Baby Ball that we just got from the pet store. Monty was getting ready to start a shed & the temps they were running were 72 w/ 10% humidity. Once we got him home, we were running low 80s w/50-65% humidity. The question is, now a week after he has shed he has a patch of old skin left of 3" across his back, what should we do to get the rest of his skin off? Thanks for all your help, Jake & Tricia.
