About 1/3 of my dragons brumate. When they feel the time is right they dig into a hide on the cool side and go to sleep. They generally sleep for 4 to 5 months. I wake them every 6 weeks to check on them. At that time I offer water from a dropper. They always partake. Generally they warm up and then stay out for a few hours and then go back. I could not get them to stay awake for a few weeks even if I wanted to. There is a picture below of 3 brumating dragons. | ||
