I'm not sure what you are asking. Brumation is really a natural process that some dragons go through. About 1/3 of my dragons brumate. When they feel the time is right they dig into a hide on the cool side and go to sleep. They generally sleep for 4 to 5 months. I wake them every 6 weeks to check on them. At that time I offer water from a dropper. They always partake. Generally they warm up and then stay out for a few hours and then go back. I could not get them to stay awake for a few weeks even if I wanted to. There is a picture below of 3 brumating dragons.



I feel you are talking about "cooling" which is what breeders do to encourage egg production in females. Cooling is taking an active dragon and putting it in a cool dark place so that the dragon has no choice but to sleep. It doesn't sound like a good idea to cool a dragon for a few weeks then stop and start again. This would be very unnatural. But I am not a breeder and have never cooled a dragon. There are breeders here that can give a better opinion if this is what you are talking about.
