"She ovulated and shed before I put him in with her" This could be your problem was she with any other male this year or last?

Usually a male has to be in with a female to stimulate her to ovulate. When she ovs his job is pretty much done, and hell lose interested but since you said he is still interested are you sure it was an ovulation she had? Im sure there are others that can give you alot more info good luck with her
