I've talked to a number of people and for some reason some people think USARK is doing a bad job helping our hobby. Why is this people?
The way I see it, USARK is doing something. If it wasn't for them we would have NO real representation. I see no reason to turn our backs on USARK.
No organization is going to do everything right at any one time. There is no book that lays out how to fight the wake jobs that are trying to take our snakes.
I have never been a big fan of PIJAC for one reason. They are a pet industry organization. We need an organization that is here to help us, "THE REPTILE PEOPLE". Not the whole dang pet industry. Dogs, Cats, and fluffy creatures are not going anywhere. You'll have the whole damn country in an up roar if they were trying to take them away. We are a very small and I mean small part of the pet industry. We mean nothing to the average Joe.
USARK is a reptile organization. If we don't like what they are doing we need to tell them.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying PIJAC is doing or has not done anything good for our community.
I just need to vent. It just makes me sick to think that sometime in the future our children (my children) may not be able to keep boas, or any large snake legally. It starts with large snakes but it will not end there people.
