I have heard of people breeding males in the 300-400 gram range. I say just keep an eye on the snake. If he wants to breed he will breed. If he locks up for a few days remove him and feed him. If he eats and doesn't seem to loose weight great, throw him in again. If he doesn't eat you might want to be concerned about over working him. I had a male in the 500 gram range breed for me and he ate through the entire season and was fine. I think it just comes down to knowing your animal and keeping a close eye on him. | ||
