I have several 08 Pacific gopher snakes, a pair of 09 bulls, and one big 08 Pacific x Cape gopher snake. All have slowed way down on feeding since this last fall except this Pacific x Cape. She still eats once a week without fail; she comes out of her hide around the fifth day and demands to be fed! I am wondering why is this, when all the others are being influenced by the shorter winter days. Is this something common to Capes? She eats a couple of adult mice at a feeding. She's getting retired breeders now. I fed her a few small weanlings this last feeding and she seemed miffed that they weren't enough. She came out of her hide a couple days early and seemed to be glaring at me. I've got a big old mama mouse for her at her next scheduled feeding, which should satisfy her.

Here she is:

I also have several little 09 Pacific babies which are all eating, which I expect with babies.
