All have slowed way down on feeding since this last fall except this Pacific x Cape. She still eats once a week without fail; she comes out of her hide around the fifth day and demands to be fed! I am wondering why is this, when all the others are being influenced by the shorter winter days. Is this something common to Capes? She eats a couple of adult mice at a feeding. She's getting retired breeders now. I fed her a few small weanlings this last feeding and she seemed miffed that they weren't enough. She came out of her hide a couple days early and seemed to be glaring at me. I've got a big old mama mouse for her at her next scheduled feeding, which should satisfy her. |
