One of the 2 senators I contacted from GA sent me a reply I thought I would share with you guys
Dear Mr. DeBruce:
Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts concerning S. 373. It is good to hear from you on this matter.
As you know, S. 373 was introduced by Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida on February 3, 2009, and subsequently referred to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. As it is written, this bill would amend the federal criminal code to add the constrictor snake of the species Python genera to the list of injurious species that are prohibited from being shipped or imported into the United States.
On December 10, 2009, the Committee approved S. 373 by voice vote, as well as a substitute amendment by Sen. Ben Cardin which made minor changes to the bill. The Committee-passed measure would add nine species of non-native constrictor snakes to the list of injurious animals prohibited from being shipped or imported. The added species in the amended bill would include only the following: Python molurus, Broghammeras [Python] reticulates, Python sebae, Python natalensis, Boa constrictor, Eunectes notaeus, Eunectes deschauenseei, Eunectes murinus, and Eunectes beniensis.
While I recognize that the stability of our ecosystem and human health and safety are at the core of this issue, I understand the potential economic effects a Python species ban would have on the snake industry. Rest assured that should any legislation pertaining to this matter reach the full Senate for a vote, I will be sure to keep your views in mind.

Whats more funny is that this senators(Saxby Chambliss)sec was rather short and uninterested while the other(johnny Isacson) was much more receptive.
