Bloodred was the term used when the morph was first found. It described the deep red and almost unicolor look that you see as the animal ages.



Then the simple recessive gentic trait of "diffused" (sides that have little to no pattern) was added to the mix.



"Bloodred" has an infusion of red, which is NOT a simple recessive genetic trait. I have seen diffused-sided normal corns which I would not call bloodreds (although some people might).



Hypererythrism (excessive red pigment) is inherited in a variable manner and individual snakes from a clutch can exhibit different amounts of red infusion.



So a "real" Bloodred is the combination of two traits. And there's a heck of a lot of variablity among Bloodreds regarding their looks.
