You make excellent point and that letter is very well written. I hope that this legislation does not pass but at the same time I hope the pet trade takes a lesson from this.
We need to police ourselves much better and be much more responsible with how we breed and who we sell to. I can see no good reason to continue breeding common retics, burms (even albinos), and lots of other large constrictors. The pet trade also need sot become much more aware of who these animals are going to. 99.9% of the people who buy these as babies have NO IDEA what they are in for 3 or 4 years down the road.
