I too keep moist hides in all my snake enclosures and don't like the misting the cage technique too much. I like to let the snake choose his humidity level by providing a moist hide. Stress can cause your snake to have a bad shed as well and I have had some snakes have this problem soon after getting them and they were stressed about their new cage.(W/C while opaque) I think the moist hide should take care of the problem. Make sure the eye caps have come off as well and if the moist hide does not solve your problem I would try soaking the snake in LUKE warm water for twenty minutes or so and then assist with removing the rest of the shed. Remember we are 98.6 so if the water seems real warm to the touch it is too hot. Good luck. [ Hide Replies ]
