From my experience the babies tend to threat gesture a lot and will strike sometimes but my adults are generally calm when handled.

Their base color varies with some being darker than others but their pattern doesen't vary much. Their is another subspecies that has a busier pattern which i've been trying to find for years but haven't had any luck yet.
