They definatly have visual characteristics of both beauty and radiated rats. Have you seen pictures of the other subspecies (helena monticollaris). They are incredible looking. I've looked for some for years with no luck.
I just have the breeding pair of helena helena pictured in the middle photo I posted above right now. The babies in the top photo came from them this season. They have the coolest visual threat of any subspecies I've ever kept. Much like radiated rats. They will literally hold as much as almost half their body off the ground when threat gesturing.
