No Steve, You are not who I am referring to. I admit that captive raised Louisiana Pinesnakes are often cleaner and more brightly colored than wild ones (Heck, what snake in the world isn't cleaner than a wild-caught ruthveni? LOL). Bob and I have seen probably 60 or more live & pickled specimens (13 live wild adults during our own work)from the wild. We've produced close to a hundred babies and raised up many to adulthood. We've never seen a bull-headed snake like that. Head color and shape say bullsnake, and the overall markings and color of the body strongly suggest hybridization.
When people contact me I tell them that I will give them my *oppinion* as to what they own. Only if they reveal a source to me that I know deals in hybrids, or in turn a reliable breeder, will I say anything more. But in most cases where I give them my *oppinion*, which they *asked for*, they get their feelings hurt or get angry with me. If I say that they have good Louisianas, then they love me. If I say otherwise, well I don't know what I'm talking about...
Cheers,
