"Theron had tainted his line by breeding another species into into it. You received animal(s) from the hybrid line and inadvertantly perpetuated that into the hobby."

I would like to respond to some comments. If this is true...it was inadvertant by my part, however, I don't believe for one minute that the animals I RECEIVED from Theron where hybrids/intergrades. The ones that I received from him were, maybe the first babies he hatched from, what I believe, were a wild caught gravid female. He has since went on to hatch many other LA pines from captive animals.

Another thing you said was - "Unfortunately even some of the bigger named people like Brunno and others purchased from you right?"

If Bart has any animals from me, they were pure ruthveni.

"Theron's hybridizing was documented a long time ago on these forums by KJ I think and there are still pics of one of the babies on the hybrid photo gallery of the Pit Page. If memory serves correctly, the animal you received was "75% Ruthveni and 25% Lodingi". He bred a black to LA then raised one of the hybrids and bred it back to an LA."

Again, if the animals I received from Theron were intergrades/hybrids, then it was total deception on Theron's part. There was absolutely no indication these animals were crossed with anything else intentionally.

Several years ago Theron had asked me about the animals he received from me being ruthveni/lodingi mix. I had told him that I never had such animals (nor sayi/ruthveni mix). That all the ruthveni were pure (though inbred a bit). So I am thinking that somewhere down the line he either got confused about some animals or someone told him some wrong information. And come to think about it, I'm not sure if Theron even had bulls at the time of my acquiring his ruthveni????

In Christ's Service,

Steve
