At this point, how can you trust the animals Steve had are pure either way? No slight to Steve, but if Theron didn't share the info with him that I just posted, how can you trust he sent pures only? The story as it was relayed to me is that one of the hybrid animals were sent to Steve and Theron go the pures and hybrids mixed up and didn't realize it until years later when questioned about it. Also, throw in the fact that the animal in question doesn't look like ANY pure Ruthveni to date and it makes it more suspicous. Still a shame because now other well know people have furthered this line out into the hobby. I know others disagree, but I really feel there are more hybrids (no matter how low content) than pures out there right now.



Hopefully with Terry's animals and Tommy's, this will change, but the bottom line remains as it did 15-18 years ago, you have to dig dig dig and then go back and dig a little deeper to verify what you are getting and then just like Steve said, ultimately it boils down to trusting the originator.
