I'm not sure where the nick name Vietnamese Blue Beauties came from. The Blues actual range, as far as I know is considered to be western Thailand and eastern Burma. Yunannensis and Mocquardi are the subspecies from Vietnam (northern vietnam).

Blue Beauties (E. taeniura ssp.) color varies but generally has somewhat of a greyish base color with the ones I like best being a slate blue/grey color.
