Last night was feed 'em friday, i know it was monday but i was out of town and got back this weekend so just a couple days late, anyways i thawed out a xl rat for him and by feeding time he was ready head poking out of his hide like always, i held the rat in there on tongs and he took right away.
now Dixie, when feeding, will strike and wrap every time even though i feed P/K and just a couple months ago switched to F/T. so i have always feed dead meals. when he wraps he will hold it for the longest time (always has) to the point where he gets his first and everyone else is done and back in hides before he ever finds the nose.
well with that in mind i did something i probably shouldnt have, i waited a few after he got it then i shut off the lights and went to bed figuring he would eat no problem and go to sleep him self well he ate no problem just never went to sleep.
so first thing this morning i check in and yes the rat is gone but he is kinda an odd position. usually i find his curled up in his hide, he was only half in and he somehow got the lid off and the towel out. a little while later i look back and he is biting himself and (what looks like to me as) trying to wrap up on an invisible rat.... and the more i think about it and the more i watch his it is as if his feeding response never shut off.
anyone ever see anything like that ----- -Stephen-
