rhino iguana question

I have a 1 year old rhino iguana that I have had for about 6 months. I was just wondering what the normal size for an iguana of this age should be. She (I have been told it is female) is about 22 inches long and weighs 450 grams.

I try to handle her for a short time every day but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with taming her. I know that they can be difficult to tame but she doesn't seem to trust me any more than she did the day I got her. Is this normal? Any suggestions?
