Hey everyone, My name is R. Maxwell Howard. I am 30yrs old. I was born and raised in Central Florida. I have recently relocated to the Pensacola area (Milton,Fl). I have been an avid herp keeper and enthusiast for 20 years. I've kept and bred most U.S. native king and rat snakes, as well as a few others (racers, coachwhips, garters). Over the years I have developed a keen interest in our native venomous snakes, especially rattlesnakes. I would love to get involved and learn more. I need a teacher! If anybody is reasonably close, and is willing to pass on their knowledge and experience, as well as time to help me log in the hours to acquire a state of Florida venomous permit, I would remain forever grateful. I am currently working my way into the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, but the selection and training process can take more than a year. I haven't found a job yet so I have some spare time.
Any advice, comments, contacts, ect., will be helpful and very much appreciated. Sorry for the long post and thanks for taking the time to read it.
