Global warming doesn't have as much to do with actual warmth as it does weather patterns. Ice IS melting at an enormous rate in the arctic and anarctic, and this past decade was the hottest on record. Remember, the Sahara desert used to be a lake, and the anarctic was normal temps in the past. We spents 2 weeks in New Zealand about 6 years ago. The manager of the hotel said we had one of the rooms that could see the glacier. Um....maybe 20 years ago, but it melted back so far that NONE of the rooms could see it.
