I was one of the guys leading the charge on the slantinels blogs that someone deliberately turned it loose. In addition to the damage it does to us in the reptile community it is quite sad that they would take such a fine specimen of green anaconda and dump it off in the horribly cold weather last week. If I still worked with them I love to have gotten that snake and even now I would have taken it and jumped through the permit hoops if whomever turned it loose had offered it to me and being tame makes it more of a shame. I suspect however that it was liberated for sinister purposes. In spite of the hassles caused by it being turned loose it's good to see George got it at least I know it's in good hands. Hopefully it won't eat that gila monster he has that plays dead. | ||
