This problem involves two gene pairs in each snake.

1. The axanthic has a pair of axanthic mutant genes. The corresponding gene pair in the caramel albino snake is made up of two normal genes.

2. The caramel albino has a pair of caramel albino mutant genes. The corresponding gene pair in the axanthic snake is made up of two normal genes.

When mated, in the first gene pair, all the babies have an axanthic mutant gene from the axanthic parent and a normal gene from the caramel albino.

In the second gene pair, all the babies have a caramel albino mutant gene from the caramel albino parent and a normal gene from the axanthic.

This makes all of the babies normal-looking double het snakes. They can pass one or both of the mutant genes to their babies, but they do not show the effect of either mutant gene.

By the way, the normal gene that pairs with the axanthic mutant gene is not the same as the normal gene that pairs with the caramel albino mutant gene.
