I just got wind of this a couple days ago. Back around 1990 we got a similar law "tabled" which here in Mississippi means killed. It would have prohibited owning poison dart frogs and Komodo dragons in the Magnolia State.



This new proposal is a case of one legislator and some nervous law enforcement officers jumping on the bandwagon. I know that we already have requirements for the keeping of venomous snakes on the books, and I'm sure that something about releasing non-native wildlife must be there, too. I'll stay on top of this. Like I haven't got better things to do...
