His bits extended out further than that in the picture, so I am gonna say he is a male. I am confident in that. He is a neat little guy. I do have a question though. Is it normal for a ball to have four white scales in the middle of a patch of brown? Also he is the first snake I have tried to pop and it was with gentle pressure so there was no injury to him.
