Also, probably best to just keep a egg laying box in the females cage, big enough for her to coil in with a bit of room along the sides and top, when half filled with moss. It sounds like you have the entire cage filled with damp moss which isn't healthy for the snake (too much moisture can lead to scale rot and respiratory infections, if your snake can't escape the high humidity after a day or two). However the moist egg laying bin situated partially on the hot spot would make a better egg laying place.
I also second keeping the male with the females on the cycle you have already established till no more lockups are noticed or the female shows an obvious swelling indicating ovulation. ----- PHLdyPayne
