A couple years ago I sw one of these articles on chuckwallas. I keep about 30 or so and I had to laugh because after reading the article I thought it should be mentioned what pigs they are. Crapping all over one another and rubbing the crap all over the cage. Breaking down cages on a schedule and scrubbing thousands of pounds of rocks especially on a 30 degree day in December. Sifting sand weekly and what it does for allergies. Of course there are the positives too which I think you were talking about.



I remember a few years back I had a yearling lewisi hybrid that was just a beast. I took him out to show a friend and he launched himself onto his wife's face and layed open her nose with his nails. I mean I think about it now and it makes me laugh but man at the time there was blood everywhere.



Just little anectdotes to give people a little taste of what it is like to actually keep these guys.
