Also everyone should keep in mind that the DOI is planning on starting the Lacey Act process well BEFORE the results of the study in South Carolina are going to be released. I believe the DOI (via USFWS) is funding this study. If this were on the up and up, why on earth wouldn't the DOI wait for the results of a study THAT IT FUNDED to even consider adding the snakes to the Lacey Act?

I contacted the Dept. of Justice regarding this, and I'm trying to figure out how to file an ethics complaint.
